The Story of [UNVRS] Year Two

Season 02: Archived. Playback engaged.

The second season of [UNVRS] began before the doors had even opened. In November 2025, the International Nightlife Association named it the World's Best Club 2025 and gave it the new award for Most Innovative Nightlife Project. Then, on 15 April, DJ Mag readers voted it the World’s No.1 Club, making it the first venue in the poll’s history to reach the top in its debut year. Eleven days later on 26 April, the Opening Party with Carl Cox and Black Coffee on the lineup officially started the summer.

By October, more than 1,400 performances by 735 artists had passed through the Main Room, Wild Comet and Bunker. Nine residencies were behind those numbers, and each one harnessed the architecture, production, and technology to build a world of its own. No two nights were the same.

The universal exploration could begin.

Three different residencies took over [UNVRS] on Mondays over the summer. First came John Summit, who brought Experts Only to Ibiza for his first residency on the island. “From the moment I stepped into [UNVRS], I knew we had to bring Experts Only there,” he said when the run was announced. Over nine weeks from 1 June to 27 July, artists from his label and beyond shared the stage with him, with Gorgon City and Odd Mob joining him for the final night.

Mondays in August belonged to Tiësto. Over five weeks he moved between the trance that made his name, records that have shaped his journey and his own brand new material, in a progression that evolved from week to week. Hannah Laing, Paige Tomlinson and Kevin de Vries were among the handpicked artists who played before him.

From 7 September, Armin van Buuren marked 25 years of A State Of Trance with five Mondays. Each event was built around a five-hour set, part of which was played on vinyl, of which some were pressed for the occasion. “I’m actually making vinyl, especially for this set,” he explained ahead of the run. Each week also brought a Face to Face set with guests such as ARGY and Funk Tribu, until the residency closed on 5 October with Armin playing the full night alone.

Tuesdays were Anyma with ÆDEN, the show he took on a world tour this year. In Ibiza it unfolded as a unique immersive experience, designed to fully utilise the power of the hyperclub, with architecture, technology and sound responding to the dancefloor in real time. Across 15 dates from 9 June to 15 September, Solomun, Amelie Lens and CAMELPHAT were among his guests, and Stephan Bodzin brought his live show.

In 2025, Travis Scott joined Anyma as a special guest. Rap and electronic music coalescing to create a standout moment in the season. On 25 August it happened again, but this time with Playboi Carti. [UNVRS] announced it the day before, and the hip-hop artist played a huge set at ÆDEN.

Midweek, Jamie Jones and the Paradise crew boarded Starship Eden. The concept imagined a living ark drifting through space in search of the rarest nature in the cosmos. [UNVRS] built this vision around the dancefloor, with jungles suspended in clusters, crystal vines, bioluminescent flowers opening and closing in time with the music. The programme spread beyond the Main Room into Wild Comet and Bunker, turning every Wednesday into a mind-bending three-room experience.

Jones opened the season by going B2B with Joseph Capriati on 10 June and kept sharing the booth all summer, going B2B with CHRIS STASSY, Franky Rizardo, Marco Carola and The Martinez Brothers, among others. On 26 August he went one further, playing B2B2B with Max Dean and Luke Dean. Starship Eden docked for the last time on 7 October after another epic year at the hyperclub.

Thursdays were FISHER’s for a second year. In 2025 he had made his entrance by descending more than twelve metres from the ceiling to the booth, and in 2026 he brought the same stadium-scale showmanship each week from 4 June to 10 September, with Seth Troxler playing the opening night. When DJ Mag revealed its Top 100 DJs results at [UNVRS] on 6 October, FISHER was named the World’s No.1 House DJ.

Fridays brought back David Guetta’s Galactic Circus, from 5 June to 2 October. Alesso, MEDUZA and Miss Monique were among the guests of its second chapter. Then, at DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs LIVE on 6 October, Guetta was crowned the World’s No.1 DJ for a record sixth time, fifteen years after his first title. Three days later, on 9 October, he returned for a special appearance at the [UNVRS] Closing Weekend.

Saturdays began with ANTS Day & Night, which spent five weeks in May at [UNVRS] with East End Dubs, Loco Dice and M-High among the names on the lineup. On 6 June, elrow opened its second season in the hyperclub with Bhūtarāh, a forest myth built around a monumental Mother of the Forest, which the crowd reached through a gateway of two colossal hands. Six themes rotated through the summer, from the psychedelic sculptures and live performers of Hallucinarium to Neo Kaos Garden and Delusionville. The season ended on 3 October with Dance With The Serpent 2.0, staged with the urban artist NYCHOS.

And then there were Sundays. Carl Cox opened his 16-week residency on 21 June by playing all night long, and closed it the same way on 4 October. In between, he turned his Sundays into a season of B2Bs. It started on 28 June with a hybrid set alongside WhoMadeWho, and over the summer Joseph Capriati, The Martinez Brothers, Dennis Cruz and Nicole Moudaber all went B2B with the man himself.

The night that made history came on 26 July. After decades as leading figures in electronic music, Carl Cox and David Guetta had never played a B2B set. They decided to do it for the first time in the world’s first hyperclub. Building up to the event, Cox teased it on Instagram with a single line, “Well... this was about time.” Then the two went B2B all night long. A moment that will go down in Ibiza history.

Some surprises were not on any lineup. On 16 August, at the end of Miss Monique’s set at Carl Cox’s night, Robbie Williams appeared to sing their single “Beauty In Us” live for the first time.

13 September was all about disco. Cox went B2B with Louie Vega, one half of Masters At Work and a New York house figure whose sets have always been rooted in soul and disco. The two have headlined the same circuit for three decades, and that night they joined forces for a single set.

Around the residencies, the calendar kept room for nights that happened only once, or almost. ANOTR’s season ran through all of them. They brought No Art to [UNVRS] on 24 May, going B2B with PAWSA, returned on 14 June two days after releasing their new album “Withness”, with Marco Carola as special guest, and came back with No Art one last time on 29 September.

Other artists used the room to launch worlds of their own. On 12 June, Peggy Gou unveiled Midnight Lobster Club, her new concept. In September, Adriatique brought X, their audiovisual series built on music, art and technology, for two nights in September, and on 8 October Indira Paganotto took over with Artcore. Black Coffee returned three times, opening his summer on 27 May and coming back on 22 September and 1 October, while Charlotte de Witte brought her techno on 29 May. And on 6 October, DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs LIVE returned to [UNVRS] for a second year, the night the season’s two biggest titles were handed out.

Mission 2026 ended on Saturday 10 October with a Closing Party with an entirely new production created for that night. Adriatique, back after their two X nights in September, and WhoMadeWho, in a hybrid DJ set, shared the Main Room with Dennis Cruz, East End Dubs and Rafael. Mella Dee took over Wild Comet, while Discoliscious and Melon Bomb played Bunker. Ahead of the night, [UNVRS] revealed the special guest of the closing B3B: Franky Rizardo, sharing the booth with Mochakk and The Martinez Brothers for the first time. The three of them played until the morning of Sunday 11 October.

The last record they played was Marshall Jefferson’s “Move Your Body”, a timeless record with an overlooked backstory. When the music stopped, the second Mission was complete.

2027 sequence initiated. Registration for [UNVRS] presale access is now open. Sign up for first access to residencies, one-off shows and the opening and closing parties.
