Our Monday resident, Armin van Buuren, just released The Psychology of the Dancefloor: An A State of Trance Documentary.

The 10 minute film explores the emotional and psychological experience of the dancefloor. Working closely with a psychotherapist, Armin van Buuren tries to understand the experience of his five-hour sets and the internal journey that we all go through on the dancefloor.

Why do certain moments feel so intense on the dancefloor? What creates the feeling of connection and belonging?

“The DJ is often at the centre of attention, but the real magic happens on the dancefloor. This documentary is about the people who experience it; their emotions, their connections, and the profound effect that music and collective experience can have on us.”- Armin van Buuren

If you’ve been to A State of Trance on Mondays at [UNVRS], if you’re curious about the residency, or if you’re just interested in this music on a deeper level, then this is a must-watch.

A five-hour AVB set is something everyone should experience at least once. This season, to celebrate 25 years of A State of Trance, the Dutch DJ has invited Argy, Funk Tribu, Youna, Ginchy and many more. What began as a radio show in 2001 has evolved into an international platform reaching 44 million listeners across more than 80 countries. You can catch one of the three remaining A State of Trance Ibiza shows every Monday until 5th October.

If you want a taste of the sets Armin van Buuren is playing this season, his live set from the [UNVRS] Dome back in July is online now too. A true Ibiza moment.

Tickets and VIP tables are on sale now.
