Carl Cox Releases His [UNVRS] Rework of “Beauty In Us”

Carl Cox has released his rework of “Beauty In Us”, the collaboration between Miss Monique and Robbie Williams. Out today, the [UNVRS] Rework takes its name from the hyperclub where the song was first performed live, during Cox’s own Sunday residency, and where the idea for the rework was born.

The night was 16 August. Miss Monique, the Ukrainian DJ and producer who also held a residency at Hï Ibiza this summer, was playing as part of Carl Cox’s residency when, at the end of her set, the singer walked out to perform the track live for the first time. Williams had teased the appearance on Instagram that afternoon, naming the club, the residency and the song, and signing off with “Buzzing, mad fer it.” Afterwards, the pair called it “a dream to perform it in Ibiza for the first time.” Cox was backstage with them that night.

The single followed on 18 September. Built around Williams’s vocal and Miss Monique’s synths, it draws on what the two have described as “our different but equally defining experiences of electronic music and clubbing”, hers in Kyiv and his in Stoke-on-Trent, from the 1990s to the 2010s. For Cox, the rework is a direct result of that Sunday in August.

“When Miss Monique and Robbie Williams performed the original at [UNVRS] during my residency, there was such a great energy around the track,” he says. “That night sparked the conversation about me putting my own spin on it, and here we are! I had a lot of fun taking it in my own direction, and I’m really happy with where it ended up. It all started on that dancefloor, so it feels pretty special to bring it full circle.”

Carl Cox’s [UNVRS] Rework of “Beauty In Us” is out now.

Registration for 2027 is now open. Sign up for first access to next summer at [UNVRS].
